Players: 2nd A & 2nd B - Bilingual 2023/24
Music Teacher: Inés M.
1 ESO Bilingual students used the resource Canva to talk about their music style, what musical instruments they play,..
Canva is a nice way to show a topic, and they really liked the idea.
This is what two of the students think about the project:
"The students had to expose about the different types of music giving our opinion, also, we had to talk about our favourite singers. In general, most projects referred to reggaeton."
"I like this type of activities, because it is the best way to learn".
Here are some of their projects:
These are the SCHOOL CLUBS 1st A- ESO students would like to join next year. Click on 'School Clubs' and check the activities they are interested in.
This term, 3rd B/C bilingual students read Oliver Twist . These are some of their reviews on the novel:
A review by Nuria A.
I’ve
recently read a book that made me learn about the
society in the 19th century. It is
Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickenss.
It
tells the story of Oliver, a young and innocent boy that is treated
very badly by some people along the book. We can see all the people that beat him,
and on the opposite
side all the people that take care of him, that was the society in that age.
However, he tries to find his place in the
world.
This
book is
not
the best I have ever read but I liked it. I think it is very good because you
really feel sorry for Oliver. The
story is very well elaborated
and the characters are really well done and you can get to know
all about them. But if I had to say something negative
about the book, it
is
that there are a lot of characters and sometimes it
is difficult to remember who is each one.
I
highly recomend this book if you like the history of England
or historic facts. It is maybe a hard book,
but I think it is necessary
to know that now we are very lucky, but previously children like Oliver weren’t
that lucky. There is also a film
on the book. I haven’t watched it, though I would
like to.
A review by MARÍA R.
Published in 1837, Charles Dickens´ “Oliver Twist” continues to be a literature classic that represents the incredibly massive social differences of 19th-century London realistically, as its genre is commonly associated with Victorian social realism.
The novel takes place in Victorian London, both the rich part and the most disadvantaged part. The plot revolves around Oliver Twist, a poor orphan that goes through a lot of misery until he learns the truth about his identity and, how, surprisingly, he ends up having an extremely happy ending.
In my opinion, this novel will be the perfect fit for you if you are into history, as it shows clearly the social context of that time and, as I did, you can find interesting seeing how everything has changed.
1ESO bilingual students have joined a project with a school in the Canary Islands to exchange online Christmas cards. They enjoyed creating their Christmas cards using the Canva tool this time. In addition, they included some information about themselves, their traditions and the place where they live.
THE EUROPEAN UNION- GEOGRAPHY
This year the 3rd ESO Bilingual Geography students have once again carried out the project on the European Union. In groups of 4 and in collaboration with the departments of Physical Education and English, they made an informative dossier on the origin, history and current affairs of the EU and a board game to continue learning about these aspects. Would you like to play a game?

ALTERNATIVE SPORTS IN THE EU - P.E.
The 3rd E.S.O. B-C group has developed a group work on alternative sports from different European countries (as part of the interdisciplinary project with Geography and English).
EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES: LANDMARKS & SPORTS- ENGLISH
The different groups of students chose three landmarks for each European capital (seven capitals for each group) and researched information for one of them. In addition, they chose an athlete for each country and presented their achievements. With this information, they created a PowerPoint presentation that they later presented to the rest of the students in class. Here is an example of one of these Ppoints: EU:LANDMARKS & SPORTS
Colaborative project between EPVA and English. Coinciding with the celebration of Halloween and the reading of the reader 'The Canterville Ghost', by Oscar Wilde, the students carried out an illustration project based on a scene suggested by the reading of the book.
DIETING AND EXERCISING FOR SCHOOL SUCCESS
3rd Term reading for 4th ESO Bilingual students. Here are some reviews:
"I liked the book. But, to be honest, it is a bit difficult to read because it is a diary so the sentences are really short and sometimes you don’t have all the information that you would like to have ( it is adapted from the original book). The actions happen really fast and suddenly the plot jumps from one thing to another. I would recommend it to people of my age. " I.A.A
